You are a square. Everything trying to kill you is also a square. Survive.

A minimalist top-down arena shooter. There's only you, a growing crowd of enemies, and however long you can hold out.

Controls: WASD to move, left click to fire, ESC to pause.

Enemies chase you down and get more frequent the longer you last. Every kill counts toward your score. How high can you get?

Hi! This game is a portfolio piece for my resume. If you're a recruiter and you see this, hire me :)

Release notes:

  • The big one: random level generation implemented

also added:

  • Loading screen
  • countdown timer
  • enemies now spawn all across the level, not strictly in some number of fixed places
  • enemies now also have weighted spawn rates (not fundamentally different, but the red / standard one spawns a bit more frequently)

worth noting an issue that came when testing: SOMETIMES enemies may spawn on screen and disappear immediately within a frame. if this happens do not panic.

One again pls note: this game is still in an early build. More content will come. Future updates will include:

  • Music
  • Upgrades system
  • Different languages localization
  • Better cosmetics, lighting, shaders, etc

Current release version: 0.3.2

Please consider supporting me and leaving some feedback. Thank you!

Not a bad game. The visuals are too simple — I'd like to see something more complex. Also, you can clearly see where the enemies spawn from — make them spawn off-screen, it would look much better. Add something that forces the player to keep moving — that would add more action. One more thing — work on the title, something simpler and more memorable would be better :) Overall, a good game.
